Cosmetology Program
1500 Hours
Full-time students attend 40 hours a week.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Lunch break: 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
Part-time students choose from the following options:
8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
1:00 PM to 5:00 PM
One Saturday a month is also required.
What Will You Learn

Cut, color, and highlight hair

Perm and style hair, including braiding and updos

Perform facials and eyebrow treatments

Provide manicures and pedicures
How It Works

Students have about one hour of lectures per day.

The rest of the day is spent practicing on mannequin heads and each other.

After completing 350 hours of practice, they can begin working on clients in the salon.

Clients include walk-ins and those who make appointments.

Upon completing the program, students will take a written and practical state board exam.

Passing the exam earns them a license from the state of Michigan.
Nail Program
600 Hours
Program hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
After approximately 100 hours of training, students can begin working on the public.
